A drop-in replacement for the deprecated @modelcontextprotocol/server-postgres that enforces read-only access by opening a fresh connection and starting a READ ONLY transaction for every call. It allows AI tools to query a Postgres database, read its schema, and explain queries while preventing destructive operations like COMMIT or DROP TABLE.
