GitHub's hosted MCP server exposes GitHub platform operations — repositories, issues, pull requests, and related features — to MCP-compatible AI tools. Toolsets can be configured for read-only or read/write access.

Claude Code

Run this once in a terminal. It registers a Streamable HTTP server. Use --scope project to write .mcp.json for the repo.
