Zovo Word Cloud turns text into a word cloud and a word frequency table. It counts words with rules like case folding and stop words, sizes words by count, and lays out up to 200 words in various shapes and orientations. It outputs vector SVG, PDF, and CSV files containing counts, sizes, and positions, while performing self-checks for overlaps and layout errors.

Zovo Word Cloud counts the words in a text with stated rules and draws a word cloud from the counts or from a list of words with weights. Use make_word_cloud for the picture (SVG, PDF and CSV downloads plus an interactive view) and count_words for a word frequency table without a picture. It does not read files, images or web pages, and it does not split Chinese, Japanese or Thai text into words.

Use this when the user wants a word cloud, word art or tag cloud from text (survey answers, reviews, an article, notes) or from a list of words with weights, for example "make a word cloud of these comments". Takes text (up to 100,000 characters) or up to 500 word and weight pairs, plus max words (10 to 200), stop-word language (en, es, fr, de, it, pt or none), case rule, shape (rectangle or circle), orientation, colour set, font sizes and a seed. Returns the top words with counts, words left out and why, layout and PDF text checks, an interactive view, and SVG, PDF and CSV downloads. Does not read files or web pages, does not split Chinese, Japanese or Thai text into words, and does not stem or group words by meaning.

Use this when the user wants word counts or a word frequency table for a text, for example "which words come up most in these reviews" or "count word frequency". Takes text up to 100,000 characters, a stop-word language (en, es, fr, de, it, pt or none), extra words to leave out, a case rule, a minimum word length and whether to count numbers. Returns totals, what was skipped and why, the top words with counts and percents, and a CSV of all counted words. Uses the same word rules as make_word_cloud. Does not draw a picture, read files, stem words or split Chinese, Japanese or Thai text into words.
