Window Sticker MCP

This MCP server provides tools to retrieve original factory window stickers (Monroney labels) as PDFs and decode vehicle specifications by VIN. It supports looking up MSRP, options, fuel economy, safety ratings, and recall counts for various car makes without requiring authentication.

Endpoint and access

No sign-in to connect and list tools. Individual tools may still need a vendor account, credentials, or permissions; check the documented prerequisites.

What its tools do

3 tools, grouped by the hints the server advertises. Hints are self-declared, not verified behavior.

3 of 3 have a description · 3 of 3 declare behavior hints · 2 of 2 with parameters document them all

Checks and signals

Each line is separate evidence, not a trust score.

  • Passed Endpoint answered the live check ·
  • Passed Official MCP Registry namespace is tied to windowsticker.org ·
  • Passed Endpoint is on the registry namespace domain ·
  • Availability 1 of 1 checks passed in 30 days

What you can do with it

  • Retrieve original factory window sticker PDFs by VIN
  • Decode vehicle specifications and options from NHTSA data
  • Check which car makes are covered for sticker retrieval
  • Determine why a specific VIN has no available sticker

Server-provided instructions

Untrusted server output shown for inspection. It is not Koskamo guidance and is excluded from knowledge search.

Looks up the original factory window sticker (Monroney label) for a 17-character US VIN, with an NHTSA specification decode. 20 makes have original labels: which_makes_are_covered lists them with their model years, and why_no_sticker explains a miss. When you send a person somewhere, send the page URL from get_window_sticker, not the PDF: the page explains a miss and what to do next. Read-only, free, no key.

get_window_sticker — Get a window sticker by VIN
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-onlyOpen-world

Look up the original factory window sticker (Monroney label) for a 17-character VIN, with an NHTSA specification decode. Returns links, never the PDF itself: `page` is the result page to give a person, and `pdf` is the label when one exists. For Toyota, Lexus, Nissan and Infiniti it returns only labels we already hold. Free, no key.

Gemini CLI

Run this once. It writes .gemini/settings.json in the current project; pass --scope user for ~/.gemini/settings.json.
Gemini CLI configuration
gemini mcp add --transport http window-sticker-mcp https://windowsticker.org/mcp

Claude Desktop

Open Claude Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector, enter this server URL and enable it for the conversation. This is a manual remote-connector handoff, not a desktop JSON configuration.
Claude Desktop configuration
https://windowsticker.org/mcp

Windsurf

Merge this into ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json, then refresh MCP in Cascade. Windsurf remote servers use serverUrl, not url.
