WaiMAP MCP

An official MCP server for WaiMAP that allows AI agents to access engineering and GIS tools for energy, infrastructure, and construction projects. It provides read-only access to calculators for solar yield, wind AEP, grid load flow, route corridors, site hazards, and more, returning screening-level summaries with links to full studies in the WaiMAP platform.

Endpoint and access

OAuth sign-in: the first time you connect, your client opens the vendor's own authorization prompt in a browser.

What you can do with it

  • Calculate solar PV yield and performance ratios
  • Estimate wind farm annual energy production with wake losses
  • Perform grid connection checks using load flow and short circuit analysis
  • Generate terrain-aware corridors for lines, pipelines, or cables

Claude Code

Run this once in a terminal. It registers the remote server. Use --scope project to write .mcp.json for the repo.
Claude Code configuration
claude mcp add --transport http waimap-mcp https://waimap.wht-ai.com/api/mcp.php

Codex

Run this once. Codex stores MCP servers in ~/.codex/config.toml (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project).
Codex configuration
codex mcp add waimap-mcp --url https://waimap.wht-ai.com/api/mcp.php

Cursor

Merge this server into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, then enable waimap-mcp in your MCP settings.

}

Cline

Merge this into cline_mcp_settings.json (Cline → MCP Servers → Configure).

Gemini CLI

Run this once. It writes .gemini/settings.json in the current project; pass --scope user for ~/.gemini/settings.json.
Gemini CLI configuration
gemini mcp add --transport http waimap-mcp https://waimap.wht-ai.com/api/mcp.php

Claude Desktop

Merge this into claude_desktop_config.json (macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/, Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\), then restart Claude Desktop.
