After verifying the payment, the agent calls the x402_facilitator_settle tool to finalize the transaction. This tool routes the settlement to the correct network (Base, Ethereum, etc.) and uses EIP-3009 for atomic transfer. The agent must ensure the payment payload is correct and that the user has authorized the spend, as this action is irreversible and moves actual funds.
