Search for companies by name
Find legal entities in the database by name or UNP, retrieving their summary cards and source attribution.
How it works
The agent takes a company name or UNP from the user. It uses the /v1/public/search?q=… endpoint to query the database. Since the registry only responds to UNP, this search is performed against the service's collected base. The agent retrieves the search results, which include legal entities only. For each result, it may optionally fetch the full card using /v1/public/by-unp/{unp} to get detailed attribution, timestamps, and SHA256 hashes of the source data. The agent returns the list of matching companies with their key details.
