Retrieve institutional stock ownership details
The user receives a structured list of institutional funds holding a specific stock, including position sizes, quarter-over-quarter changes, and SEC EDGAR provenance for auditability.
How it works
The agent connects to the Arkolith MCP server using an API key. It invokes the 'stock.owners' tool, passing the target stock ticker (e.g., AAPL) and an optional limit for the number of results. The agent parses the JSON response to extract the number of institutional owners, top holders by value, and their change status (added, reduced, exited, held). It also retrieves the reported filing quarter and provenance source. The agent should verify that the data is labeled as quarterly and lagged, not real-time, and present the findings with appropriate disclaimers that this is not investment advice.
Prompt
Paste this into an agent that has the servers below connected. Adjust the names and dates to your own.
Use Arkolith to answer: which institutional 13F funds own AAPL? Return: - the number of tracked institutional owners, - the top 10 holders by reported value, - whether each fund added, reduced, exited, or held the position quarter over quarter, - the reported quarter, - and the SEC EDGAR provenance. Use the stock.owners tool with ticker AAPL and limit 10. Do not treat the result as investment advice. Explain that 13F data is quarterly and lagged.MCP servers it needs
