Monitor and restart offline EV chargers
The agent detects offline chargers, performs a soft reset, verifies the charger returns to an 'Available' state via webhook or polling, and alerts a human if the restart fails or times out.
How it works
The agent uses the askacharge-mcp server to list chargers in a specific location (e.g., hotel-madrid) using chargers:read@location. It identifies offline units and triggers a soft reset using commands:reset@location. It then polls the command status using askacharge_estado_comando with the returned job_id to confirm the charger comes back online (status: confirmed, event: charger.online). If the job times out, it notifies a human. The agent is restricted to specific locations and cannot modify firmware, tariffs, or access other locations.
Prompt
Paste this into an agent that has the servers below connected. Adjust the names and dates to your own.
Check the status of chargers at 'hotel-madrid'. If any are offline, perform a soft reset on them. Monitor the reset job until it confirms the charger is online. If a reset fails or times out, report the failure. Do not attempt to reset chargers in other locations.MCP servers it needs
