It analyzes security deltas, runtime compatibility, and breaking changes for npm and PyPI packages, returning source-cited migration plans and go/no-go decisions to help agents review updates before merging.

Endpoint and access

Prefer review_dependency_upgrade for an exact version change from Dependabot, Renovate, or another dependency PR. Use find_safe_upgrade_target only when the target is unknown; the legacy check_dependency_upgrade and plan_dependency_upgrade tools remain compatible. If current_version is unknown, read the project manifest first. Edit dependency files only when action_allowed=true. unknown means required evidence or caller context is insufficient.
