ToolsMonk MCP

An official MCP server provided by ToolsMonk Labs LLP that allows AI agents to query the ToolsMonk tool catalog, find specific utilities for tasks, and execute certain text, developer, and calculator tools directly. It provides read-only access to the catalog and limited tool execution capabilities, supporting privacy-first local processing where possible.

Endpoint and access

No sign-in to connect and list tools. Individual tools may still need a vendor account, credentials, or permissions; check the documented prerequisites.

Server-provided instructions

ToolsMonk is a free browser-based toolkit (186 tools). Use search_tools with the user's task in plain language to find the right tool. To get an answer directly, call run_tool with the tool slug and an input object: 152 tools can run here (business, finance and student calculators, text and developer utilities); list_runnable_tools gives their input schemas and examples, and get_tool shows it per tool under `mcp`. For a connected account these also run here, each under a small daily limit: web tools (seo-checker audits one page, site-audit crawls a site in up to a minute, website-speed-test runs Lighthouse in 20 to 50 seconds); the regex tools; the AI tools (humanizer, image generator, PDF summarizer, resume writing help); and light file tools, which take a file the user attached in the conversation (pass it in run_tool's top-level `files` parameter; never ask the user to upload it elsewhere) or a PUBLIC https URL of the file as `fileUrl` (max 10 MB), and return a download link that expires after one hour. Heavy file tools (OCR, PDF to Word/PowerPoint/Excel, background removal, upscaling, video, the editors) cannot run here: give the user the tool's `url` to open instead. Nothing sent to run_tool is stored. Finance results carry a `disclaimer`; pass it on. Check `runsInBrowser` before promising privacy: when it is true the user's file never leaves their device.

search_tools — Search ToolsMonk tools
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-only

Find the ToolsMonk tool that solves a described task. Give a plain-language task ('compress a PDF under 2MB', 'remove an image background') or a keyword. Returns ranked matches, each with the URL to open. Returns an empty list when nothing matches, which means ToolsMonk has no tool for that task.

run_tool — Run a ToolsMonk tool
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-onlyOpen-world

Run a ToolsMonk tool and return its result. Works for business, finance and student calculators, text, developer and document utilities; web tools (seo-checker, site-audit, website-speed-test); regex-tester and regex-generator; AI tools (free-ai-humanizer-tool, ai-image-generator, ai-pdf-summarizer, resume-maker); and light file tools (merge, split, rotate, number or watermark a PDF, resize, convert or compress an image, and more), which take a file the user attached (pass it in the top-level `files` parameter) or a public https `fileUrl` (max 10 MB), and return a download link valid for one hour. These have their own small daily limits per account. See list_runnable_tools, or check `mcp.runnable` from get_tool. Pass the tool slug and an `input` object matching that tool's input schema. Heavy file tools (OCR, Office conversion, background removal, editors) cannot run here; for those the error message gives the URL to open. Inputs and outputs are not stored.
