Stockmarket Loans (stockmarket.loans) answers questions about what it costs to borrow against a stock portfolio: each US broker's published margin rate schedule, a side-by-side ranking at any loan balance, and the interest cost of a balance over a number of months. Every rate is copied from the broker's own margin rate page or fee schedule (source URL and the broker's printed date on each result); rates were last checked against those pages on 2026-10-24. Interactive Brokers rates follow its USD benchmark plus the printed spread and update when a newer benchmark reading is available. Results are published rates and simple-interest arithmetic, not a quote, an offer, a recommendation of any broker or investment advice; brokers sorted only by printed rate. Brokers change rates without notice and the broker's disclosure governs. Borrowing on margin can force sales without notice and losses can exceed the amount invested. One broker's published margin rate schedule: every balance tier with its annual rate and the broker's own wording for how it is set, the base rate and its date, whether tiers blend, maintenance and minimum-equity notes, the schedule date, our check date and the broker's source URL. A family name like "Interactive Brokers" returns each of its plans.

Every compared broker's published annual margin rate on one loan balance, ranked from lowest to highest (ties shared), with the tier that applies, the yearly interest at that rate, schedule dates and source links. Brokers that print no rate at that balance are listed separately with the reason.

What a margin loan costs over a number of months at every compared broker's published rate, as the site's margin interest calculator works it: rate, interest per month, total over the period and the extra cost versus the lowest rate, simple interest on a flat balance. Optionally adds a rate you were quoted (an SBLOC offer or a negotiated margin rate) or narrows the table to one broker.
