Rove MCP

Rove provides a supervised browser MCP server that allows AI agents to navigate web pages, click buttons, fill forms, and read accessibility trees or screenshots. It enables human-in-the-loop oversight where a user can watch live and take control of the browser session at any point. The server supports OAuth and API key authentication and includes tools for managing browsing sessions, history, and account credits.

Endpoint and access

OAuth sign-in: the first time you connect, your client opens the vendor's own authorization prompt in a browser.

This server is operated by the named third party. Listing and endpoint checks are not an endorsement or a security audit. Review the operator's permissions, terms, and data handling before connecting. How listings are checked and corrected.

Claude Code

Run this once in a terminal. It registers a Streamable HTTP server. Use --scope project to write .mcp.json for the repo.
Claude Code configuration
claude mcp add --transport http rove-mcp https://api.roveapi.com/mcp

Codex

Run this once. Codex stores MCP servers in ~/.codex/config.toml (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project).
Codex configuration
codex mcp add rove-mcp --url https://api.roveapi.com/mcp

Cursor

Merge this server into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, then enable rove-mcp in your MCP settings.
Cursor configuration
{
  "mcpServers": {

      "url": "https://api.roveapi.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Cline

Merge this into cline_mcp_settings.json (Cline → MCP Servers → Configure). The type must be streamableHttp for a remote HTTP server.
Cline configuration
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "rove-mcp": {
      "type": "streamableHttp",
      "url": "https://api.roveapi.com/mcp",
