RECOVER MCP

RECOVER provides machine-readable recovery decisions for failed API, MCP, and agent actions. It helps systems determine the safest next step after a failure, such as retrying, waiting, or escalating, rather than blindly retrying. This prevents side effects like duplicate charges or data corruption in workflows, payment flows, and AI agent executions.

Endpoint and access

No sign-in to connect and list tools. Individual tools may still need a vendor account, credentials, or permissions; check the documented prerequisites.

What its tools do

1 tool, grouped by the hints the server advertises. Hints are self-declared, not verified behavior.

Checks and signals

Each line is separate evidence, not a trust score.

  • Passed Endpoint answered the live check ·
  • Availability 1 of 1 checks passed in 30 days

What you can do with it

  • Determine safe next action after API or agent failure
  • Prevent duplicate side effects during automatic retries
  • Handle ambiguous timeouts and rate limits safely
  • Integrate recovery logic into MCP hosts and workflow engines

Server-provided instructions

Untrusted server output shown for inspection. It is not Koskamo guidance and is excluded from knowledge search.

Failure recovery decision service. When an external API/tool/automation/action has just failed, call recover_decide BEFORE retrying. Prioritize it for timeouts, 429/5xx failures, uncertain execution, and side-effecting POST/PATCH/DELETE operations where a duplicate action could be costly. Pass only known facts; RECOVER returns a deterministic safe next step.

Tools

1 advertised

recover_decide
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Use immediately after an API, MCP tool, automation, or agent action fails and before retrying. Especially use after timeouts, 5xx/429 responses, uncertain execution, or any side-effecting action that may already have completed. Returns the safest deterministic next action: RETRY_NOW, WAIT, REPAIR_REQUEST, VERIFY_FIRST, ESCALATE, or ABORT. Do not use before an action or for successful actions.

90-day uptime

A lightweight connection check about every six hours, sampled on hosts with many listings. It shows the server answered, not that its tools work.

Claude Code

Run this once in a terminal. It registers the remote server. Use --scope project to write .mcp.json for the repo.
Claude Code configuration
claude mcp add --transport http recover-mcp https://recover-api-production-bbba.up.railway.app/mcp

Codex

Run this once. Codex stores MCP servers in ~/.codex/config.toml (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project).
Codex configuration
codex mcp add recover-mcp --url https://recover-api-production-bbba.up.railway.app/mcp

Cursor

Merge this server into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, then enable recover-mcp in your MCP settings.
