RecipeScale MCP

RecipeScale provides MCP tools for AI assistants to perform kitchen math, including scaling recipes by serving count, converting cooking units using ingredient densities, merging shopping lists, and calculating cost per serving. It operates via Streamable HTTP, stores no data, and requires no account.

Endpoint and access

No sign-in to connect and list tools. Individual tools may still need a vendor account, credentials, or permissions; check the documented prerequisites.

What its tools do

4 tools, grouped by the hints the server advertises. Hints are self-declared, not verified behavior.

4 of 4 have a description · 4 of 4 declare behavior hints · 4 of 4 with parameters document them all

Checks and signals

Each line is separate evidence, not a trust score.

  • Passed Endpoint answered the live check ·
  • Availability 1 of 1 checks passed in 30 days

What you can do with it

  • Scale a recipe from one serving count to another
  • Convert cooking units like cups to grams
  • Merge multiple shopping lists into one
  • Calculate cost per serving from ingredient prices

Server-provided instructions

Untrusted server output shown for inspection. It is not Koskamo guidance and is excluded from knowledge search.

RecipeScale does kitchen math: scale a recipe to a different serving count, convert cooking units (including cups to grams via ingredient densities), merge several shopping lists into one and compute cost per serving. Pure arithmetic; nothing stored.

scale_recipe — Scale recipe
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-only

Scale every ingredient in a recipe from one serving count to another (0.1x to 20x), with kitchen-friendly fraction hints; items without a quantity pass through unchanged. Use when cooking for more or fewer people. Do NOT use to change units (use convert_units) or to combine several recipes' ingredients (use merge_shopping_list).

convert_units — Convert units
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-only

Convert one cooking amount between units: within volume or weight exactly, or between volume and weight using a built-in density for flour, sugar, brown sugar, butter, water, milk, rice, oats, cocoa or honey. Use for questions like 'how many grams is 2 cups of flour'. Do NOT use to change serving counts (use scale_recipe).

merge_shopping_list — Merge shopping list
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-only

Combine several shopping or ingredient lists into one, summing the same item across lists (volumes and weights converted to a friendly unit) and noting which list each came from. Use when shopping for several recipes or meals at once. Do NOT use to resize one recipe (use scale_recipe) or price it (use cost_per_serving).
