MCP Harbor Registry MCP

An MCP server registry and directory that mirrors the official MCP Registry. It allows agents to search for servers by name, transport, or tool, retrieve server manifests, and submit new server listings via its own MCP endpoint or HTTP API without requiring authentication.

Endpoint and access

No sign-in to connect and list tools. Individual tools may still need a vendor account, credentials, or permissions; check the documented prerequisites.

What its tools do

3 tools, grouped by the hints the server advertises. Hints are self-declared, not verified behavior.

Can change data (1)

3 of 3 have a description · 3 of 3 declare behavior hints · 2 of 3 with parameters document them all

Checks and signals

Each line is separate evidence, not a trust score.

  • Passed Endpoint answered the live check ·
  • Availability 1 of 1 checks passed in 30 days

What you can do with it

  • Search for MCP servers by name, transport, or tool name
  • Retrieve server manifests and installation instructions
  • Submit new MCP server listings to the registry

Server-provided instructions

Untrusted server output shown for inspection. It is not Koskamo guidance and is excluded from knowledge search.

A registry of MCP servers at https://ai.mcpharbor.dev. Use search_servers to find servers and get_server for install details. To add a server, first confirm with search_servers that it is not listed, then call submit_server. New submissions are reviewed before they appear in search.

search_servers — Search MCP servers
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-only

Search the registry for MCP servers. Matches names, titles, descriptions, tags and the names of the tools each server exposes. Returns short summaries; call get_server for install instructions. Search before submit_server so you don't add a duplicate.

get_server — Get an MCP server
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-only

Get one server by its exact name: its server.json manifest, its review status, and ready-to-use install snippets. Use it to check on a server you submitted; status is pending until a maintainer approves it.

submit_server — Submit an MCP server
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Add an MCP server to the registry. New submissions are reviewed by a maintainer before they appear in search; get_server shows their status meanwhile. Fill in what you know from the server's README or package metadata. If the result is an error, fix the fields it names and call again. Never include secrets: env_vars takes variable names only, not values.

Connect from your client

Each snippet registers the same endpoint; pick the client you use.

This server is operated by the named third party. Listing and endpoint checks are not an endorsement or a security audit. Review the operator's permissions, terms, and data handling before connecting. How listings are checked and corrected.

Claude Code

Run this once in a terminal. It registers the remote server. Use --scope project to write .mcp.json for the repo.
Claude Code configuration
claude mcp add --transport http mcp-harbor-registry-mcp https://ai.mcpharbor.dev/mcp

Codex

Run this once. Codex stores MCP servers in ~/.codex/config.toml (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project).
Codex configuration
codex mcp add mcp-harbor-registry-mcp --url https://ai.mcpharbor.dev/mcp

Cursor

Merge this server into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, then enable mcp-harbor-registry-mcp in your MCP settings.

    "mcp-harbor-registry-mcp": {
      "url": "https://ai.mcpharbor.dev/mcp"

Cline

Merge this into cline_mcp_settings.json (Cline → MCP Servers → Configure).

VS Code

Merge this server into .vscode/mcp.json. Use MCP: List Servers to start mcp-harbor-registry-mcp and inspect its tools.

Gemini CLI

Run this once. It writes .gemini/settings.json in the current project; pass --scope user for ~/.gemini/settings.json.
Gemini CLI configuration
gemini mcp add --transport http mcp-harbor-registry-mcp https://ai.mcpharbor.dev/mcp

Claude Desktop

Open Claude Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector, enter this server URL and enable it for the conversation. This is a manual remote-connector handoff, not a desktop JSON configuration.

Windsurf

Merge this into ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json, then refresh MCP in Cascade. Windsurf remote servers use serverUrl, not url.
