MCP File Tools
An MCP server that handles file operations on text files with non-UTF-8 encodings. It automatically detects the character encoding from file bytes, converts content to UTF-8 for the AI model to process, and writes changes back in the original encoding while preserving BOMs and line endings. It supports over 40 encodings including Cyrillic, Windows-125x, ISO-8859, and CJK variants, and includes tools for reading, writing, editing, and searching files with encoding awareness.
