MCP File Tools
An MCP server that handles file operations on non-UTF-8 text files. It automatically detects the encoding from file bytes, converts content to UTF-8 for the AI model, and writes changes back in the original encoding while preserving BOM and line endings. It supports 45 encodings including Cyrillic, CP1252, ISO-8859, and CJK variants, and includes tools for reading, writing, editing, and searching files with encoding awareness.
