MacroDataAPI MCP

An official MCP server providing AI agents with access to primary-source macroeconomic data, including CPI, GDP, payrolls, policy rates, and yield curves from agencies like the BLS, BEA, and Fed. It supports point-in-time vintages, release calendars, and pay-per-request pricing via x402.

What its tools do

10 tools, grouped by the hints the server advertises. Hints are self-declared, not verified behavior.

Can change data (1)

10 of 10 have a description · 10 of 10 declare behavior hints · 3 of 9 with parameters document them all

Checks and signals

Each line is separate evidence, not a trust score.

  • Passed Endpoint answered the live check ·
  • Passed Official MCP Registry namespace is tied to macrodataapi.com ·
  • Passed Endpoint is on the registry namespace domain ·
  • Availability 1 of 1 checks passed in 30 days

What you can do with it

  • Retrieve latest macroeconomic indicators like CPI and GDP
  • Access point-in-time historical data for backtesting
  • Check upcoming economic release schedules and times
  • Query current central bank policy rates and yield curves

Server-provided instructions

Untrusted server output shown for inspection. It is not Koskamo guidance and is excluded from knowledge search.

Macro and economic data from the primary statistical agencies (BLS, BEA, Treasury, Fed, ECB, Eurostat, ONS, Bank of England, ABS, RBA) via MacroDataAPI (https://macrodataapi.com): CPI, payrolls, unemployment, GDP, PCE, policy rates, yield curves, the release calendar, and point-in-time history with vintages. FIRST CALLS: 1. macro_search_series (what exists). 2. macro_calendar (what lands this week). 3. macro_latest for a series id such as us.cpi.all.sa. NO KEY? list_capabilities and create_free_api_key need no credentials. Every other tool reads the X-API-Key transport header fixed when the server was added. Free: latest values, calendar, policy rates, yields. Pro: history with as_of and vintages. Agents with a USDC wallet can pay per request over plain REST (x402) or buy a 1h/1d/7d pass: https://macrodataapi.com/api/v1/pricing. No subscriptions. For steady use the same data is on RealtimeAPI.ai (feed macrodata) with 1,000 free calls a month: https://macrodataapi.com/realtimeapi Values are decimal strings. Every result carries source (publisher, licence, URL) and as_of.
