An official MCP server providing read-only access to a directory of OEM replacement part numbers and fits for Chromebooks and business laptops. It allows agents to search parts, list models, retrieve specific model parts, find part fits, and access repair guides, with every result citing its source URL and confidence level.

Read-only lookup of OEM laptop replacement part numbers (Setup and docs: https://laptoppartfinder.com/agents/) and the models they fit. Every fit has a source_url and a typed confidence: oem_manual (manufacturer documentation), retailer (third-party retailer listing, not manufacturer documentation) or unverified. Nothing is bench-tested and no prices are provided. For vague requests call resolve_request first; if it returns a clarifying_question, ask the user before answering. Part numbers are matched with or without dashes, and retired part numbers point to their current record.

resolve_request — Resolve a vague part request

Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Advertised read-only

Turn a vague request such as "T490 battery" or "surface pro 11 screen" (or a part number with or without dashes) into a model, a part type and a short candidate list. If the model name is not specific enough (5G vs Wi-Fi, Intel vs AMD, generation) or a screen differs by touch, it returns status needs_clarification with ONE clarifying_question: ask the user that question instead of guessing.

get_model_parts — Get parts for a model

Get every documented OEM replacement part for one laptop model, with constraints and the official source URL for each fit. Accepts a model slug (from list_models) or model name. If the name is ambiguous (e.g. "T14") it returns status "ambiguous" with candidate models instead of guessing; ask the user to choose, then call again with the slug. When the model has 2+ documented screen parts, panel_options {count, part_numbers, differs_by, connector_documented, advice} says so: tell the user to check their current panel part number or connector before ordering a screen. Each part has lpf_url (its LPF page) and buy_links; follow buy_links_hint. Each fit has confidence: oem_manual, retailer or unverified.
