Korea Business Verify MCP

A remote MCP server that verifies Korean businesses in real time via the Korea National Tax Service (NTS). It allows AI agents to find companies by name, check registration status, perform KYB identity verification, and screen for public procurement debarments. It also provides Korean customs import requirements by HS code. The service is independent and reads public open data.

What its tools do

6 tools, grouped by the hints the server advertises. Hints are self-declared, not verified behavior.

6 of 6 have a description · 6 of 6 declare behavior hints · 6 of 6 with parameters document them all

Checks and signals

Each line is separate evidence, not a trust score.

  • Passed Endpoint answered the live check ·
  • Availability 1 of 1 checks passed in 30 days

What you can do with it

  • Find Korean business registration numbers by company name
  • Check if a company is active, suspended, or closed
  • Verify business identity against representative name and opening date

check_korean_business_batch — Batch check Korean business status
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-onlyOpen-world

Screen a list of up to 100 Korean businesses in a single call by their 10-digit business registration numbers (사업자등록번호). Returns one entry per input number (order preserved) with registration status, tax type, and any public-procurement debarment ("부정당업자 제재") on record — a company can be perfectly active and still barred from public contracts. The summary counts how many are currently debarred. Use this for supplier, vendor or customer list screening instead of repeated single checks. Recently checked numbers may be answered from a cache up to 24 hours old (marked "cache": true). Sources: Korea National Tax Service, Public Procurement Service.

find_korean_business — Find a Korean business by name
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-onlyOpen-world

Find a Korean company by name (English or Korean) when you do not know its 10-digit business registration number — the number every other tool here needs. Returns ranked candidates with a confidence score and discriminating evidence (registration status, tax type, region), because a name can match several distinct companies: "Samsung Electronics" matches four. Sources: DART (disclosure filers, English names) and the Public Procurement Service registry (small businesses).

check_korea_import_requirements — Check Korean import/export clearance requirements by HS code
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-onlyOpen-world

Check what Korean customs clearance requirements apply to a product by its 10-digit HS code. Goods that need an unmet approval are held or returned at Korean customs. Returns which statutes require clearance, which agencies can approve (often several, any one of which suffices), the certificate to obtain, and each requirement's condition quoted from the governing notice (Korean original, which is authoritative) — plus tariff rates for imports. Data: Korea Customs Service and the Ministry of Government Legislation. Fact lookup only — not a legal customs determination; whether a condition applies to your product is not decided here. Test code 8516710000 (coffee makers) is free.

check_korea_import_requirements_batch — Screen a product catalog for Korean import restrictions
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-onlyOpen-world

Screen a product catalog for Korean import restrictions in one call. Submit up to 100 HS codes and get back what is restricted, with the statute, the approving agencies and the certificate required for each. Restricted codes come first, then codes that could not be checked, then clear ones. Invalid codes are listed in summary.invalid_hs and not counted. Use before opening a Korea shipping lane or listing a catalog for Korean buyers. Fact lookup only — not a legal customs determination.
