Kaalshodh MCP MCP server

A Model Context Protocol server providing AI assistants with access to a 10,000-year Indian astronomy almanac. It computes planetary positions, eclipses, conjunctions, and historical panchang dates using JPL DE431 ephemeris tables, covering the range from 5000 BCE to 5000 CE. The server operates without authentication, ensuring privacy by computing queries in memory without storing user data.

Claude Code

Run this once in a terminal. It registers a Streamable HTTP server. Use --scope project to write .mcp.json for the repo.
Claude Code configuration
claude mcp add --transport http kaalshodh-mcp https://kaalshodh.com/mcp

Codex

Run this once. Codex stores MCP servers in ~/.codex/config.toml (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project).
Codex configuration
codex mcp add kaalshodh-mcp --url https://kaalshodh.com/mcp

Cursor

Merge this server into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, then enable kaalshodh-mcp in your MCP settings.
Cursor configuration
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "kaalshodh-mcp": {
      "url": "https://kaalshodh.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Cline

Merge this into cline_mcp_settings.json (Cline → MCP Servers → Configure). The type must be streamableHttp for a remote HTTP server.
Cline configuration
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "kaalshodh-mcp": {
      "type": "streamableHttp",

Gemini CLI

Run this once. It writes .gemini/settings.json in the current project; pass --scope user for ~/.gemini/settings.json.
Gemini CLI configuration
gemini mcp add --transport http kaalshodh-mcp https://kaalshodh.com/mcp

Claude Desktop

Merge this into claude_desktop_config.json (macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/, Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\), then restart Claude Desktop.
