HourProof MCP

HourProof is a deterministic volunteer and service-hour ledger that checks logged hours for internal consistency, such as bad dates, impossible totals, and duplicates. It allows agents to open ledgers, append entries, verify records, and generate supervisor sign-off URLs or certificates without using AI or LLMs.

Endpoint and access

No sign-in to connect and list tools. Individual tools may still need a vendor account, credentials, or permissions; check the documented prerequisites.

What its tools do

6 tools, grouped by the hints the server advertises. Hints are self-declared, not verified behavior.

6 of 6 have a description · 0 of 6 declare behavior hints · 1 of 5 with parameters document them all

Checks and signals

Each line is separate evidence, not a trust score.

  • Passed Endpoint answered the live check ·
  • Passed Official MCP Registry namespace is tied to hourproof.rowb.app ·
  • Passed Endpoint is on the registry namespace domain ·
  • Availability 1 of 1 checks passed in 30 days

What you can do with it

  • Check a list of hour entries for internal consistency
  • Open an hour ledger for a student
  • Append logged hours to a record
  • Create a one-time supervisor sign-off URL

check_hours
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Check a list of logged service/volunteer hours for internal consistency: bad dates, non-positive or impossible day totals, missing organization, and days above this service's 8-hour flag. Deterministic arithmetic only - no AI. It does NOT decide whether the hours satisfy any school or award requirement.

get_rules
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

The exact rule table this service checks against, with the reason each rule is checkable, plus what it explicitly does not claim. Quote it if you need to explain a result.

90-day uptime

A lightweight connection check about every six hours, sampled on hosts with many listings. It shows the server answered, not that its tools work.

Too few checks for a percentage yet (1 of 1 answered).

Claude Code

Run this once in a terminal. It registers the remote server. Use --scope project to write .mcp.json for the repo.
Claude Code configuration
claude mcp add --transport http hourproof-mcp https://hourproof.rowb.app/mcp

Codex

Run this once. Codex stores MCP servers in ~/.codex/config.toml (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project).
Codex configuration
