Hivex MCP

This MCP server allows AI agents to search for available .si domain names, check domain availability, perform live DNS lookups, and retrieve WHOIS registration records. It provides tools for founders and developers to find brandable names and verify domain technical details without requiring an account or API key.

Endpoint and access

No sign-in to connect and list tools. Individual tools may still need a vendor account, credentials, or permissions; check the documented prerequisites.

What its tools do

4 tools, grouped by the hints the server advertises. Hints are self-declared, not verified behavior.

4 of 4 have a description · 4 of 4 declare behavior hints · 3 of 4 with parameters document them all

Checks and signals

Each line is separate evidence, not a trust score.

  • Passed Endpoint answered the live check ·
  • Passed Official MCP Registry namespace is tied to hivex.si ·
  • Passed Endpoint is on the registry namespace domain ·
  • Availability 1 of 1 checks passed in 30 days

What you can do with it

  • Search for available .si domain names by keyword or style
  • Check if a specific domain name is free or registered
  • Perform live DNS record lookups for any domain
  • Retrieve WHOIS registration details from the registry

Server-provided instructions

Untrusted server output shown for inspection. It is not Koskamo guidance and is excluded from knowledge search.

Hivex indexes .si domain names that are free to register (about 600,000, updated every minute). Use find_names to brainstorm or filter .si names by a word, length or score, and check_name for one exact name. 'free' means the .si registry confirmed it; 'likely_free' means it has no DNS delegation and has not been confirmed yet. Always give the user the hivex.si link of a name: that page runs the final live availability check and has the registrar links. Use dns_lookup for the DNS records of any domain (where its site, mail and name servers point) and whois_lookup for its registration (registrar, dates, status); both link to an explained page on hivex.si.

find_names — Find .si names
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-only

Search Hivex's index of .si domain names that are free to register. Filter by a word or fragment (contains, starts with, ends with, exact), length and minimum score; sort by best score, newest or shortest. Returns up to 25 names, each with its hivex.si page.

Look up one .si domain name: whether Hivex lists it as free or likely free, whether it is for sale on Hivex, or whether someone registered it, plus a DNS lookup made now. Returns the name's hivex.si page, where the user runs the final live registry check before registering.
