Hello, AI MCP

An MCP server that provides tools to interact with the Hello, AI directory of frontier AI models. It allows agents to list models, get specific model details, retrieve recommendations based on tasks, and access articles and status updates, all without authentication.

Endpoint and access

No sign-in to connect and list tools. Individual tools may still need a vendor account, credentials, or permissions; check the documented prerequisites.

Server-provided instructions

Untrusted server output shown for inspection. It is not Koskamo guidance and is excluded from knowledge search.

Hello, AI is a curated directory of six frontier AI models with LMArena text-overall Elo, list prices and context windows. Use recommend_models to rank models for a task (coding, reasoning, overall, daily use) with optional cost, context and provider filters. score is an ordering aid, not a quality measure: compare scores only between calls that share the same meta.scoring version, snapshot and matched_category. Models listed under unrated have no usable Elo of their own and are never ranked. Data is updated weekly; get_status reports freshness.

recommend_models — Recommend models for a task
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-only

Rank Hello, AI's tracked frontier models for a task. Same scoring as GET /api/recommend: task match 40%, Elo 35%, input cost 15%, context 10% (Elo 55%, cost 25%, context 20% when no task matches). Only rated models rank; unrated ones are listed separately. score is an ordering aid, not a quality measure.

Claude Code

Run this once in a terminal. It registers the remote server. Use --scope project to write .mcp.json for the repo.
Claude Code configuration
claude mcp add --transport http hello-ai-mcp https://helloai.com/mcp
