Git Why MCP

Git Why is a semantic archaeology tool for Git that finds commits explaining why code exists using full-text and vector search. The MCP server exposes git_why_search and git_why_status tools over stdio, allowing AI agents to retrieve commit evidence and diffs without generating explanations, supporting offline operation and optional daemon indexing for performance.
