Docracy MCP

Docracy MCP enables AI agents to interact with Docracy's e-signature platform. It allows users to list and retrieve document templates, draft new agreements from templates, and check the status of existing signature requests. A paid API key is required to search for documents.

Endpoint and access

No sign-in to connect and list tools. Individual tools may still need a vendor account, credentials, or permissions; check the documented prerequisites.

What its tools do

4 tools, grouped by the hints the server advertises. Hints are self-declared, not verified behavior.

4 of 4 have a description · 0 of 4 declare behavior hints · 4 of 4 with parameters document them all

Checks and signals

Each line is separate evidence, not a trust score.

  • Passed Endpoint answered the live check ·
  • Availability 1 of 1 checks passed in 30 days

What you can do with it

  • List available document templates
  • Draft a contract from a template
  • Check signature request status

check_status — Check signing status
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Look up the status of a Docracy signing chain from a sign or status link — who's signed, who's still pending.

    }
  }
}
list_templates — List Docracy legal templates
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

List free and Marketplace legal templates from Docracy (NDAs, contractor agreements, offer letters, etc.). Optional text filter. Returns slugs and prepare URLs — does not create or send documents.

  }
}
get_template — Get a Docracy template
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Fetch metadata for one Docracy template by slug (title, description, key clauses / drafting hints when available) plus the prepare URL to open it for e-signature.

draft_from_template — Draft from a Docracy template
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Start an agentic drafting workflow from a trusted Docracy template. Returns the prepare URL (fields already placed where applicable), library page, and drafting hints. Does NOT auto-send for signature — the human reviews and sends on docracy.io. Optional notes are echoed as a drafting brief for the assistant.

Claude Code

Run this once in a terminal. It registers the remote server. Use --scope project to write .mcp.json for the repo.
Claude Code configuration
claude mcp add --transport http docracy-mcp https://mcp.docracy.io/mcp

Codex

Run this once. Codex stores MCP servers in ~/.codex/config.toml (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project).
Codex configuration
codex mcp add docracy-mcp --url https://mcp.docracy.io/mcp

Cursor

Merge this server into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, then enable docracy-mcp in your MCP settings.
