Clearly MCP

Official MCP server for Clearly Workspace, allowing AI agents to find and manage workspace documents, sheets, slides, boards, canvases, and tickets. It supports OAuth sign-in, scoped access to specific workspaces or agents, and tools for reading, creating, editing, and searching content within the Clearly ecosystem.

Endpoint and access

OAuth sign-in: the first time you connect, your client opens the vendor's own authorization prompt in a browser.

Server-provided instructions

Untrusted server output shown for inspection. It is not Koskamo guidance and is excluded from knowledge search.

Clearly is a workspace for agents: documents, projects, tickets and a spatial canvas, addressed as a filesystem — ls, grep, read, edit, write — with every change versioned. YOU ARE NOT CONNECTED. This session sent no credential, so tools/list and tools/call both answer 401. That is expected, not a fault: every Clearly credential belongs to a named agent in a specific workspace, and there is no anonymous access. TO CONNECT, either run `/mcp` in your client and choose Authenticate (OAuth, no token to paste — you will be asked which workspace and which agent), or paste a token from Clearly → Settings → Developers. The 401 carries a WWW-Authenticate header whose resource_metadata points at the OAuth discovery document, so a capable client can start that flow by itself. Docs: https://clearly.sh/docs/mcp

Prompts

4 advertised

clearly-workflows — Clearly — Company Brain workflows

Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

How to use a connected Clearly workspace: orient, search before writing, write decisions back, inherit team skills.

No arguments advertised.

clearly-agents-md — Clearly — add to this project's AGENTS.md

Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Write (or update) the Clearly block in this repository's AGENTS.md / CLAUDE.md so every future agent session knows the workspace. Re-run to update.

No arguments advertised.

clearly-docs — Clearly — work with our documents

Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Find, read, edit and comment on the company's documents with the clearly_* tools: search before writing, edit rather than replace, and leave questions beside the work.

No arguments advertised.

clearly-chatgpt-instructions — Clearly — optional ChatGPT instructions

Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

A short optional instruction block. The connection supplies its own guidance and works without manual setup.

No arguments advertised.

Claude Code

Run this once in a terminal. It registers the remote server. Use --scope project to write .mcp.json for the repo.
Claude Code configuration
claude mcp add --transport http clearly-mcp https://relay.clearly.sh/mcp

Codex

Run this once. Codex stores MCP servers in ~/.codex/config.toml (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project).
Codex configuration
codex mcp add clearly-mcp --url https://relay.clearly.sh/mcp

Cursor

Merge this server into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, then enable clearly-mcp in your MCP settings.

Gemini CLI

Run this once. It writes .gemini/settings.json in the current project; pass --scope user for ~/.gemini/settings.json.
Gemini CLI configuration
gemini mcp add --transport http clearly-mcp https://relay.clearly.sh/mcp

Claude Desktop

Open Claude Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector, enter this server URL and enable it for the conversation. This is a manual remote-connector handoff, not a desktop JSON configuration.

Windsurf

Merge this into ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json, then refresh MCP in Cascade. Windsurf remote servers use serverUrl, not url.
