Catalogue of Life MCP

The Catalogue of Life MCP server provides access to a global taxonomic index of approximately 2.2 million accepted species names. It enables AI agents to search for organisms, resolve scientific names, retrieve taxonomic classifications, find vernacular names, and explore taxonomic hierarchies such as children taxa and synonyms. The server operates via a JSON-RPC 2.0 gateway with no authentication required for basic usage.
