ByteTrail MCP

A read-only MCP server providing access to AI research papers, news, developer tools, and startup funding rounds. It supports tools for searching, retrieving specific items, and tracking trends without requiring user authentication.

Endpoint and access

No sign-in to connect and list tools. Individual tools may still need a vendor account, credentials, or permissions; check the documented prerequisites.

What its tools do

9 tools, grouped by the hints the server advertises. Hints are self-declared, not verified behavior.

9 of 9 have a description · 9 of 9 declare behavior hints · 1 of 9 with parameters document them all

Checks and signals

Each line is separate evidence, not a trust score.

  • Passed Endpoint answered the live check ·
  • Passed Official MCP Registry namespace is tied to bytetrail.space ·
  • Passed Endpoint is on the registry namespace domain ·
  • Availability 1 of 1 checks passed in 30 days

What you can do with it

  • Search for AI papers by title or abstract
  • Retrieve latest arXiv papers by field
  • Get details on startup funding rounds
  • Find trending developer tools

Server-provided instructions

Untrusted server output shown for inspection. It is not Koskamo guidance and is excluded from knowledge search.

ByteTrail tracks AI research, news, open-source tools and startup funding, updated through the day. Every tool is read-only and free; results are short, dated and link to the original source and to ByteTrail. - Papers: latest_papers (by field or arXiv category), get_paper, search. arXiv announces new papers Sunday to Thursday. - News: latest_news (labs, research, news sites, engineering blogs, newsletters; by region). - Trends: trending (tools, new repos, topics, fields, stories). - Funding: funding_rounds (AI and developer-tool startups, filter by sector, stage, amount, investor), company. - Developer tools: dev_tools (by category), get_tool. Funding rounds marked with `credit` come from Recent Funding; cite them as such. Rounds with `flags` need checking.
