Attest MCP

A Model Context Protocol server that enables AI agents to scan agent payment endpoints for trust grades (A-F) before making payments. It supports scanning URLs, retrieving recent grades, and returning composite scores, danger flags, and verdicts to ensure payment security.

Endpoint and access

No sign-in to connect and list tools. Individual tools may still need a vendor account, credentials, or permissions; check the documented prerequisites.

What its tools do

2 tools, grouped by the hints the server advertises. Hints are self-declared, not verified behavior.

Not annotated (2)

2 of 2 have a description · 0 of 2 declare behavior hints · 2 of 2 with parameters document them all

Checks and signals

Each line is separate evidence, not a trust score.

  • Passed Endpoint answered the live check ·
  • Availability 1 of 1 checks passed in 30 days

What you can do with it

  • Scan an agent payment endpoint URL and get a trust grade (A-F)
  • Retrieve the most recent grade for a host that has already been scanned
  • Check composite scores and danger flags before paying an unfamiliar endpoint

attest_scan
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Scan an agent payment endpoint (x402 / HTTP 402) and return a letter grade A to F with a safety verdict before paying.

attest_guard
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Verify a live 402 payment offer at the moment of spend. Pass the EXACT offer you just received (url, payTo, amount, asset, network) and get an allow / warn / block verdict with machine-readable reasons: wallet mismatch vs the verified payout wallet, price swaps vs the last verified quote, danger flags, blocklisted wallets, and typosquats. Call this AFTER receiving a 402 offer and BEFORE authorizing the payment.

Connect from your client

Each snippet registers the same endpoint; pick the client you use.

This server is operated by the named third party. Listing and endpoint checks are not an endorsement or a security audit. Review the operator's permissions, terms, and data handling before connecting. How listings are checked and corrected.

Claude Code

Run this once in a terminal. It registers the remote server. Use --scope project to write .mcp.json for the repo.
Claude Code configuration
claude mcp add --transport http attest-mcp-attestagent https://attestagent.org/api/mcp

Codex

Run this once. Codex stores MCP servers in ~/.codex/config.toml (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project).
Codex configuration
codex mcp add attest-mcp-attestagent --url https://attestagent.org/api/mcp

Cursor

Merge this server into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, then enable attest-mcp-attestagent in your MCP settings.

Gemini CLI

Run this once. It writes .gemini/settings.json in the current project; pass --scope user for ~/.gemini/settings.json.
Gemini CLI configuration
gemini mcp add --transport http attest-mcp-attestagent https://attestagent.org/api/mcp

Claude Desktop

Open Claude Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector, enter this server URL and enable it for the conversation. This is a manual remote-connector handoff, not a desktop JSON configuration.

Windsurf

Merge this into ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json, then refresh MCP in Cascade. Windsurf remote servers use serverUrl, not url.
