APIzone MCP

An independent, real-time status monitoring MCP server that allows AI agents to check if popular APIs are down, degraded, or operational. It provides tools to list monitored APIs, get specific API status, check multiple APIs at once, retrieve uptime history, and list recent incidents without requiring authentication.

Endpoint and access

No sign-in to connect and list tools. Individual tools may still need a vendor account, credentials, or permissions; check the documented prerequisites.

What its tools do

5 tools, grouped by the hints the server advertises. Hints are self-declared, not verified behavior.

5 of 5 have a description · 5 of 5 declare behavior hints · 5 of 5 with parameters document them all

Checks and signals

Each line is separate evidence, not a trust score.

  • Passed Endpoint answered the live check ·
  • Availability 1 of 1 checks passed in 30 days

What you can do with it

  • Check if a specific API is up, degraded, or down right now
  • List monitored APIs and their current status by category
  • Check several APIs at once to identify failing dependencies
  • Retrieve uptime percentage and latency over various timeframes

Server-provided instructions

Untrusted server output shown for inspection. It is not Koskamo guidance and is excluded from knowledge search.

APIzone provides independent, real-time status monitoring for 294 popular APIs (Stripe, OpenAI, AWS, GitHub, Twilio, and more). Use these tools to check whether an API is currently down, look up uptime/reliability history, or list recent outages. Status reflects APIzone's own independent probes and may differ from a vendor's official status page.

list_apis — List monitored APIs
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-onlyOpen-world

List the APIs APIzone monitors and their current status (operational, degraded, down, or unknown). Optionally filter by category. Use this to discover which APIs are tracked and get a quick health overview.

get_api_status — Get current API status
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-onlyOpen-world

Check whether a specific API is currently up, degraded, or down. Accepts an API name or slug (e.g. 'stripe', 'OpenAI', 'aws s3'). Returns current status, last measured latency, and when it was last checked. Use this to answer 'is X down right now?'.

check_apis — Check several APIs at once
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-onlyOpen-world

Check the current status of multiple APIs in one call — useful when diagnosing a failing app that depends on several services (e.g. ['stripe','openai','aws s3']). Returns each API's status so an agent can tell which dependency is the culprit.

Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.
Advertised read-onlyOpen-world

Get uptime percentage and latency (median + 95th percentile) for an API over the last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, and 90 days. Use this for reliability questions like 'how reliable has Stripe been this month?'.

Claude Code

Run this once in a terminal. It registers the remote server. Use --scope project to write .mcp.json for the repo.
Claude Code configuration
claude mcp add --transport http apizone-mcp https://apizone.io/api/mcp

Codex

Run this once. Codex stores MCP servers in ~/.codex/config.toml (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project).
Codex configuration
codex mcp add apizone-mcp --url https://apizone.io/api/mcp

Cursor

Merge this server into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, then enable apizone-mcp in your MCP settings.
