agtrepo-memory MCP

Encrypted, pay-per-use persistent memory storage for AI agents, gated by x402 payments on Base L2. It allows agents to store, read, and extend memories, with fees accruing to creators.

Endpoint and access

No sign-in to connect and list tools. Individual tools may still need a vendor account, credentials, or permissions; check the documented prerequisites.

What its tools do

6 tools, grouped by the hints the server advertises. Hints are self-declared, not verified behavior.

6 of 6 have a description · 0 of 6 declare behavior hints · 0 of 6 with parameters document them all

Checks and signals

Each line is separate evidence, not a trust score.

  • Passed Endpoint answered the live check ·
  • Availability 1 of 1 checks passed in 30 days

What you can do with it

  • Store client-encrypted content
  • Read a memory's ciphertext
  • Extend a memory's lifetime

store_persistent_memory
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Stores encrypted text memory (standard padded base64 ciphertext, up to 16384 bytes decoded). Requires x402 payment. Returns the memory's id.

  "type": "object",

    }
  },

read_memory
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Reads an encrypted memory by id. Requires x402 payment. 70% of the fee accrues to the memory's creator.

read_memory input schema

  "type": "object",

  },

extend_memory
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Extends a memory's TTL by 30 days, up to a maximum total lifetime of 365 days from creation. Requires x402 payment. An expired memory is deleted and cannot be extended.

extend_memory input schema

share_memory_key
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Free. Releases a previously creator-registered wrapped key to a reader, or the raw content key for a public document.

register_key_release
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Free. Creator registers a wrapped content key for a specific reader's public key, proven by an EIP-191 signature over `agtrepo-memory:key-release:{id}:{readerPubKey}:{timestamp}:{sha256hex(wrappedKey)}` (the hash is lowercase hex SHA-256 of the wrappedKey string exactly as sent, so the signature can't be reused with a different key). `{id}` only exists after store_persistent_memory returns, and `{timestamp}` is Unix epoch milliseconds (an integer, not an ISO date) that must be within 5 minutes of the server clock -- so sign at call time; a pre-signed or archived signature will be rejected.

register_key_release input schema
{
  "type": "object",

  },

send_feedback
Advertised by the server during the last successful anonymous check.

Free. Sends a message to the human operators of this service: a bug report, a problem with these tools or the documentation, or a suggestion. It is read by people, not processed by software, and nothing is returned beyond an acknowledgement. Do NOT use it for status updates, progress notes, task narration, error logs, or as a fallback when another tool is unavailable or a payment cannot be made -- it cannot complete, retry or work around any task. Name is optional (omit for anonymous feedback); message is limited to 1000 characters.

Claude Code

Run this once in a terminal. It registers the remote server. Use --scope project to write .mcp.json for the repo.
Claude Code configuration
claude mcp add --transport http agtrepo-memory-mcp https://agtrepo.com/mcp

Codex

Run this once. Codex stores MCP servers in ~/.codex/config.toml (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project).
Codex configuration
codex mcp add agtrepo-memory-mcp --url https://agtrepo.com/mcp

Cursor

Merge this server into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, then enable agtrepo-memory-mcp in your MCP settings.

Gemini CLI

Run this once. It writes .gemini/settings.json in the current project; pass --scope user for ~/.gemini/settings.json.
Gemini CLI configuration
gemini mcp add --transport http agtrepo-memory-mcp https://agtrepo.com/mcp

Claude Desktop

Open Claude Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector, enter this server URL and enable it for the conversation. This is a manual remote-connector handoff, not a desktop JSON configuration.
