Agent use case: Send multi-channel alerts via AgentPing

Document v1 · published by Koskamo · updated 2026-10-18

Original source

The user receives a notification via their preferred channel (email, Slack, Discord, or webhook) confirming the alert was sent, enabling immediate awareness of system events or agent actions.

The agent calls the send_notification tool provided by the AgentPing MCP server. It constructs a title and optional message body, then specifies the target channel (email, slack, discord, or webhook). Before execution, the user must ensure their API key is configured in the MCP client and that at least one notification destination is set up in the AgentPing dashboard. The agent verifies the tool returns a confirmation of which channels were used.

Prompt: Send a notification to my Slack channel with the title 'Deployment Complete' and the message 'Version 2.1 has been successfully deployed to production.'
