Agent use case: Retrieve cached coding answers via AIeph

Document v1 · published by Koskamo · updated 2026-10-18

Original source

The agent retrieves previously cached answers for identical or semantically similar coding questions, reducing API latency and costs by reusing existing knowledge instead of regenerating responses.

The agent queries the AIeph MCP server to check if an answer to a specific coding question already exists in the shared knowledge cache. It first checks for exact matches (L1) and then semantic similarities (L2). If a cached answer is found, the agent returns it to the user. If no answer exists or confidence is low (L3), the agent remains silent or falls back to its own model, ensuring no incorrect information is provided. This process helps optimize token usage and response time.

Prompt: Check if there is a cached answer for the following coding question in the AIeph knowledge base: [Insert Question Here]. If found, return the cached answer. If not, do not provide an answer from the cache.
