Vigil MCP

An official MCP server by Appnary that allows AI agents to scan Shopify stores for risky scripts and apps, and optionally disable them. It supports OAuth sign-in or Bearer token authentication, providing tools to scan themes, list blocked hosts, and manage storefront security settings directly from AI clients like Claude, Cursor, and ChatGPT.

Endpoint and access

OAuth sign-in: the first time you connect, your client opens the vendor's own authorization prompt in a browser.

What you can do with it

  • Scan Shopify store themes and app embeds for security risks
  • List currently blocked hosts on the storefront
  • Turn off risky script hosts on the live storefront
  • Unblock previously blocked hosts to restore functionality

Connect from your client

Each snippet registers the same endpoint; pick the client you use.

This server is operated by the named third party. Listing and endpoint checks are not an endorsement or a security audit. Review the operator's permissions, terms, and data handling before connecting. How listings are checked and corrected.

Claude Code

Run this once in a terminal. It registers a Streamable HTTP server. Use --scope project to write .mcp.json for the repo.
Claude Code configuration
claude mcp add --transport http vigil-mcp-appnary https://cp.appnary.com/api/vigil/mcp

Codex

Run this once. Codex stores MCP servers in ~/.codex/config.toml (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project).
Codex configuration
codex mcp add vigil-mcp-appnary --url https://cp.appnary.com/api/vigil/mcp

Cursor

Merge this server into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, then enable vigil-mcp-appnary in your MCP settings.
Cursor configuration
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "vigil-mcp-appnary": {
      "url": "https://cp.appnary.com/api/vigil/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Cline

Merge this into cline_mcp_settings.json (Cline → MCP Servers → Configure). The type must be streamableHttp for a remote HTTP server.

Ground your agent in cited data

Vigil MCP gives your agent tools. Koskamo gives it reviewed, cited facts to check its answers against. Add it as a second MCP server; public reads need no API key.
