Standby Design MCP MCP server

An official MCP server from standby.design that allows AI agents to generate complete design systems, including OKLCH color palettes, fluid type scales, spacing, shape tokens, icon sets, and motion tokens. It provides deterministic, read-only tools to build and export design tokens compatible with CSS, Tailwind, and other frameworks.

Claude Code

Run this once in a terminal. It registers a Streamable HTTP server. Use --scope project to write .mcp.json for the repo.
Claude Code configuration
claude mcp add --transport http standby-design-mcp https://mcp.standby.design/mcp

Codex

Run this once. Codex stores MCP servers in ~/.codex/config.toml (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project).
Codex configuration
codex mcp add standby-design-mcp --url https://mcp.standby.design/mcp

Cursor

Merge this server into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, then enable standby-design-mcp in your MCP settings.
Cursor configuration
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "standby-design-mcp": {
      "url": "https://mcp.standby.design/mcp"
    }
  }
}

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "standby-design-mcp": {
      "type": "streamableHttp",
      "url": "https://mcp.standby.design/mcp",

Gemini CLI configuration
gemini mcp add --transport http standby-design-mcp https://mcp.standby.design/mcp

Claude Desktop

Merge this into claude_desktop_config.json (macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/, Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\), then restart Claude Desktop.
